Schweikert: Oops

Oops... It turns out that there is a flaw in the plan. Even though it was part of every speech given by the president, both leading up to the passage of the bill and since, we now learn that children with preexisting conditions can still be excluded from coverage. Earlier this week, from the Weekly Standard: "In the writing of this bill that manipulates 1/6 of the American economy, the wise men and women of the United States Congress somehow overlooked making sure kids with pre-existing conditions were covered". New costs to Arizona And just yesterday, AHCCCS has informed our governor that this legislation will cost the state of Arizona a whopping $13 billion in new unfunded federal mandates. Didn't we hear from Harry Mitchell that he had read the bill? "All 2,994 pages... plus 42 amendments".
