NY Daily News: McCain "fighting for his political life" against Hayworth

At a rally for McCain in Tucson yesterday, Sarah Palin tried to convince McCain supporters in Tucson that they are all Tea Partiers:

"I want to clear the air right now," Palin said. "In respect to the Tea Party movement, a beautiful movement. You know what? Everyone here today supporting John McCain, we are all a part of that Tea Party movement.

Hmmm, somehow I suspect core John McCain supporters aren't exactly Tea Party types. The Tea Party movement emerged mainly in opposition to the billion dollar TARP bailouts. McCain voted for several of those bailouts.
