Hayworth to be Tea Party spokesman

This article at The Hill is unfortunately inaccurate in parts. It is not true that four Tea Parties didn't endorse Hayworth because of his record (more McCain griping), but because they were concerned about violating elections laws due to their formation as 501(c)3's or other problematic formations. And the article conveniently leaves out the fact that 16 mostly Arizona Tea Parties endorsed Hayworth.

Here is the rest of the article -

The Tea Party is expected to announce that former Rep. JD Hayworth (R-Ariz.) will become a national spokesperson for the movement, a source close to the matter told The Hill.

Despite Hayworth's unwavering support of tax cuts enacted by President George W. Bush and seeking to permanently end taxes on capital gains and estates, the Tea Party earlier this year did not back his bid to unseat Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).
