PRESS RELEASE
Mohave, Pinal Republicans Ready to Host First Two Debates Between J.D. Hayworth and John McCain
Phoenix, AZ (April 14) - Republican U.S. Senate candidate J.D. Hayworth stated today that he is taking John McCain at his word to debate "anywhere, anytime" and challenged the incumbent to meet him for the first two of what Hayworth hopes will be debates in all 15 Arizona counties.

Mohave County and Pinal County Republicans offered the first two debates: Saturday, May 22 in Kingman and Tuesday, June 2 in Coolidge.

"I'm pleased the Senator has finally agreed to join me on stage to discuss the important issues of the day," Hayworth said. "These debates will give Arizona voters the opportunity to see who is the true conservative in this race."

James King reported in yesterday's New Times blog, Valley Fever, that Senator McCain now says he will debate anywhere, anytime.

"Late is better than never," Hayworth said. "But once is not enough. It will take a series of debates for John to explain why he supports amnesty for illegal aliens; would even consider voting for Hillary Clinton to fill a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court; why he no longer considers himself a maverick; and why he has aligned himself with Democrats who are bankrupting this country."

"John McCain is an honorable man and I take him at his word to debate me anywhere, anytime."
