CAP: It's make or break time for the future of abortion in Arizona!

This message is shorter than most I send to you. Here's why:

Last fall Planned Parenthood launched an aggressive legal attack that, if successful, could undermine virtually every restriction on abortion in Arizona and ultimately ...
... make Arizona the most abortion-friendly state in America.

Candidly, this attack couldn't come at a worse time. That's why I'm asking for your support. This is "make or break" time for abortion law in Arizona. Will you help?

As you know from other letters I've sent you recently, Center for Arizona Policy (CAP) is currently engaged in its most demanding legislative session ever. Thanks to your support, we're working to pass 14 key pieces of pro-family legislation as well as making sure no adverse legislation is considered that would undermine the timeless values you and I share.

Because it's such a challenging plan, though, I've had to devote every available staff resource to implementing it. And now we're also dealing with this critical legal attack from Planned Parenthood. That creates a problem.

Thankfully, Alliance Defense Fund is serving as lead counsel in this fight, but it still requires considerable work on our part and it's too important not to give it our very best efforts. Because CAP was so instrumental in passing these laws last year at the legislature, we are now in a unique position to provide expertise on the legal front.

CAP's staff is stretched very thin right now and, frankly, I'm concerned that could result in missed opportunities at the legislature, losing this important legal battle with Planned Parenthood, or, worse, BOTH!

That's why I'm asking some of CAP's most loyal supporters like you to help make sure that doesn't happen.

Will you consider a special contribution of $25 or even $50 to make sure CAP has the resources required to meet this attack head-on without having to cut back on our legislative plans? I hope you will.

I wouldn't ask you for this special gift if the stakes weren't so high.
This is, literally, make or break time for
the future of abortion law in Arizona.
If they're successful it will mean that Arizona's abortion laws become even more liberal than the federal law as defined in Roe v. Wade.

You and I simply can't allow that to happen. Thanks to your partnership with us, CAP is poised to begin taking back lost ground at the legislature. However, this legal battle could undermine everything we've done for pro-life efforts the past few years.

That's why I'm asking you and a select group of CAP's most loyal supporters toconsider a one-time gift of $25 or even $50 to make sure CAP has the resources necessary to counter Planned Parenthood's legal attack without cutting back on our 2010 legislative agenda.

Thank you, in advance, for your support and please pray for God's wisdom and counsel in fighting this legal battle.

Sincerely,
Cathi
Cathi Herrod, Esq.
President

P.S.  This was a two-front legal battle with Planned Parenthood working through the state courts and their ally, Center for Law and Reproductive Rights, working through the federal courts. The good news is that the federal case has been dropped. However, the stakes in the state case have always been higher and the potential for a disastrous decision with tremendous ramifications will continue until this case is resolved.

That's why I'm asking you to consider making a contribution of $25 or even $50 to make sure CAP has the resources necessary to counter Planned Parenthood's legal attack without cutting back on our 2010 legislative agenda. Click here to contribute.
