Half the Story: Local Media Misses the Point

Recently, KPHO aired a story on CAP-supported SB 1307, which is awaiting the Governor's signature. The story quoted two legislators who opposed the bill. The tone of the piece was to make fun of the bill. KPHO chose not to portray accurately the whole story about the bill. Instead, KPHO gave listeners a very slanted and inaccurate view of the bill's intent and purpose. The truth is, SB 1307 is a ground-breaking piece of legislation that protects basic human dignity from the earliest stages of life without interfering with legitimate medical research. SB 1307 will prohibit human cloning, embryonic stem cell research, and animal-human hybrids.
