Andrew Thomas Gains Major Endorsement of Top GOP Leader in Pima County

State Senator Jonathan Paton Announces Support For Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas’ Possible Run for Arizona Attorney General

PHOENIX, AZ.- JANUARY 5, 2010: Andrew Thomas’ campaign efforts continue to gain momentum with Arizona State Senator Jonathan Paton’s endorsement of the Republican contender to succeed Terry Goddard as Arizona’s Attorney General.

Senator Paton is well known for his action in holding Child Protective Services accountable after three children in Tucson were murdered. Paton’s legislation ultimately led to new laws aimed to create more accountability within the government agency.

“Andrew Thomas is tough on child exploitation and violent crime. Arizona needs such a law enforcement leader,” he said. An Iraq war veteran, the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry named Paton “Senator of the Year” in 2009.

“I’m extremely thankful for the support of Senator Paton,” said Thomas. “I’ve been an admirer of his dedication to the community and the state’s best interests. I would need his help to further reduce crime in southern Arizona just as has been accomplished up I-10,” Thomas said.
