PV MAYOR VERNON PARKER RAISES $50,000

Since Announcing Just Two Weeks Ago

February 11, 2010. Paradise Valley, AZ.  Paradise Valley Mayor and small businessman Vernon Parker’s bid to fill Congressman John Shadegg’s seat in Arizona’s Congressional District 3 is gaining momentum.

Today, the Parker campaign announced it has collected more than $50,000 in contributions since the campaign’s launch less than two weeks ago.  That’s nearly $160 raised per hour.

“I’m very thankful for all of the wonderful support that I have received so far in the race,” Parker said.  “District voters are looking for a Congressman who will be a tireless advocate for conservative principles, and this initial outpouring of support gives me faith that I will be the party’s nominee.”

Parker has been endorsed by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Phoenix Councilman Sal DiCiccio.  Other endorsements will soon be announced as will the campaign finance committee which is a who’s who of the Valley and Third Congressional District.  The quick fundraising start is another sign of the momentum behind Parker’s bid for the Republican nomination.
