Occupy Wallstreet has become what the HIPPIES were in the 1960's & 1970's!
During the 1960's a large group of young adults, mostly in their 20's and 30's rose up initially  to protest the Vietnam War in which U.S. troops fought for almost 8 years between 1965 and 1973.  Over 58,000 brave soldiers died during this war while the hippies were safely at home smoking dope, reproducing young hippies and attending Rock n Roll concerts.
Initially the protests were peaceful but quickly became violent and ugly.  Mix the violence with the Rock n Roll free love and drugs culture that was prevalent during this period and you ended up with a violent and disrespectful scene.  Others who originally supported their argument to stop the war turned against the hippies because of  their criminal and strange behavior.  Millions were spent by cities and states on law enforcement to try and maintain order.
Ironically the very same people who were protesting the war decided to direct their anger at the American soldier instead of the politicians who had authority to send them to fight for our country.  The hippies would yell at, spit on, swear at and demean in every way possible the soldiers who were coming home from Vietnam.
And so a political war that was should have been debated, quickly took on a very ugly face in violent protest all over the country during that 8 year period.  Many argue that those protesting the war actually had the effect of extending the war because politicians became more stubborn and resistant to their violent movement.
4 decades have come and gone since that time and many believe that NOTHING positive came about because of the hippie movement in the 60's and 70's.  Instead, American values were severely undermined with drugs and free love.  Unfortunately many of those same young liberal hippies are now running this country.
With the violence growing in the Occupy Wallstreet movement, it appears to be headed for the same heap of ashes the Vietnam protestors ended up in.  Murder, rape, theft and property damage seem to be dominating the headlines for a group that started with some legitimate complaints about our political system and wallstreet.
In my opinion those legitimate complaints are overshadowed by their criminal behavior.  The 99% has quickly become the 1% of the population in their behavior.  If you check under the hood of Occupy Wallstreet you find out that this movement was planned a long time ago by communists, socialists, anarchists, radical union leaders and anti-semites.
On the other hand the Tea Party movement went to right to work using their constitutional rights to change Washington D.C. without crime or violence.  We sent over 80 new conservatives to the House and Senate.  We also had a major impact in state legislatures voting in over 600 new conservatives nationwide.
Is our work done?  Absolutely not, but the narrative has now changed and we finally have Washington talking about cuts.  To make sure these changes stay in place we must be eternally vigilant and hold those we hire to represent us accountable for their actions.
Make no mistake,
President Obama supports
Occupy Wallstreet!
Ironically Obama has received more campaign donations from Wallstreet then
any other politician!

Some Polls show that the Arizona Senate seat is within reach of
Democrat Richard Carmona!

By Josh Lederman - 11/27/11 02:48 PM ET
Holding on to retiring Sen. Jon Kyl's (R) seat will be no cakewalk for Arizona Republicans, and could offer Democrats one of their strongest chances to take control of a Republican seat and stave off a GOP coup in the Senate, according to a new poll.

Rep. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), the GOP front-runner in the race to replace Kyl, holds only a 4-point lead over U.S. Surgeon General Richard Carmona, who launched his campaign less than three weeks ago. Matched up with Don Bivens in the survey by Democratic firm Public Policy Polling, the former state party chairman and first Democratic candidate to enter the race, Flake leads by 10 points.

Democrats have been eagerly eyeing Arizona and its open Senate seat as a feasible pickup opportunity in 2012, when Republican gains of only four seats would cede them control of the Senate, if President Obama wins reelection. But the Democratic primary got off to a slow start, in part due to deference to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), who was considering a Senate run before being injured in a January shooting rampage.

Flake, a staunch conservative who has amassed almost $2.3 million for his Senate run, appeared in a position to handily win the seat - until Democrats succeeded in recruiting Carmona, a Hispanic candidate with an independent background that could appeal to moderate voters in the state's Republican-leaning electorate.

Flake's major advantage comes in name recognition, where only four in 10 Arizona voters said they had no opinion of him. Eight in 10 had no opinion of Bivens, and seven in 10 felt that way about Carmona.

Businessman Wil Cardon, who is challenging Flake in the primary, was the biggest unknown in the race, but still beats both Carmona and Bivens in a general-election matchup.

"Democrats appear to start out with a real chance in this race," said Dean Debnam, the polling firm's president.

But the poll also revealed more Democratic voters in Arizona say they support Flake than Republicans who support Bivens or Carmona. Democrats will have to hold on tight to their voters in the general election if they are to pick up the seat next November.
The poll of 500 Arizona voters was conducted Nov. 17-20 using automated telephone interviews and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points.

59 Year Old Staff Sargeant Don Nicholaus still active on the front lines of the Army and wants another tour of duty in Afghanistan!

At 59 years old, Staff Sgt. Don Nicholas is the oldest soldier currently serving on the frontlines in Afghanistan. He served in the Vietnam War, but re-enlisted after 9/11, and has also served other tours in Afghanistan and Iraq.

When asked why he re-enlisted at his age, he said "it was the right thing to do." Back home in Ohio he was a podiatrist, but he joined an Army psychological operations unit hoping to be sent to a war zone. His enthusiasm and dedication inspires other soldiers.

After three wars and 63 months in combat zones, the Pentagon says Sgt. Nick must retire next summer when he turns 60. He's not looking forward to it though, saying, "I want to be out there ... as long as I'm able to do it, I'll do it."
