EAST VALLEY – Former Congressman and candidate for Arizona’s 5th Congressional District Matt Salmon today announced the endorsement of Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey. Senator Toomey, recognized as one of the Senate’s top advocates for limited government, personal freedom and conservative values, released the following statement regarding his endorsement:

“I am proud to endorse Matt Salmon for the U.S House of Representatives. I had the privilege of serving with Matt in Congress when I represented Pennsylvania’s Fifteenth District, and Arizona and the country will be better off with Matt back in Congress fighting for taxpayers. Matt is a true champion of fiscal responsibility, and I know that he will bring integrity, conservative ideals and principled leadership to Congress.”

Former Congressman Matt Salmon stated, “As a Congressman, and now as a Senator, Pat Toomey has been an extraordinary champion for a fiscally responsible and limited government.  I am grateful for his support.  We stood side by side as we balanced the budget when we served together in Congress – I look forward to having that opportunity again.  I know I can count on Senator Toomey in the fight to return to a balanced budget and restore fiscal sanity in Washington.”
