How Can You Help?
This campaign has been run entirely on the efforts of the candidate and volunteers.  We have literally walked over 1000 miles in the District, called almost 10,000 voters on the telephone and have handed out over 20,000 pieces of literature during the primary.  We need to have that same effort in the runoff!  Please consider volunteering your time, energy, voice, money, or typing ability.  Visit our website for more information on how you can be a part of a winning campaign!
Block Walk This Saturday!
Our first volunteer opportunity of the runoff takes place this weekend!  This Saturday, September 17, 2011, we will be having a block walk beginning at 9:30 AM.  We will meet at the Bagel Gourmet for instructions and material distribution.  We will then walk the neighborhoods around a local park knocking on doors and inviting people to an open forum at 12:30 at that park.  The walk will end around 12:00 noon and the forum will run for about an hour.  We invite you to take part in either one or preferably both!

The Bagel Gourmet is in a central meeting location for the District.  It is just West of the I-17 on the south side of Bell Rd in the Fry's Center parking lot.   The address is 16845 N 29th Ave Suite 4, Phoenix, AZ 85053.  We look forward to meeting you there!

Our next volunteer event will be Saturday, September 24th at 8:30 in a to-be-determined location.  At that event, we will be distributing doorhangers through several neighborhoods.  If you can't make that event, you can also request materials through our website and distribute them during the week in your own neighborhood.

As always, thank you for your continued support in retiring the career politician in District 1 and electing new, vibrant leadership.  Thank you for your support of Eric Frederick!

Precinct Results Indicate Tight Runoff!

The City of Phoenix released precinct-by-precinct voting breakdowns on Friday.  These results illustrate just how close the primary was and indicate another very close race in the November 8th runoff!

Unlike most elections, there was not a single precinct where any candidate received more than 55% of the vote.  This indicates that throughout the district, volunteer efforts to knock on doors, distribute materials, and make telephone calls can truly turn the election in our favor!

Our best precinct was also the largest precinct in the District.  With over 16,000 registered voters, the Happy Valley/Stetson Hills/Little Deer Valley based precinct voted at 49% to 41% in our favor with the third place finisher, Bill Barker, receiving just over 10% of the vote.  Given that we have secured Mr. Barker's endorsement (below), this precinct had the largest difference in voting percentage with almost 60% voting against the incumbent.  This bodes well for our campaign as we simply need to make sure the turnout in the general election matches that in the primary!

These precinct results show that WE NEED YOUR HELP!  Please visit our How You Can Help page to find out what you can do to help turn the vote in our favor throughout the District.  Whether you are around the corner or on the other side of the country, there are ways you can help deliver our message of New, Vibrant Leadership instead of continuing politics as usual!

Bill Barker's Endorsement

Third place finisher Bill Barker endorsed our campaign late last week.  In the primary, Bill's supporters helped push the runoff by earning over 15% of the vote in District 1.  In his endorsement, Mr. Barker stated, "Mr. Frederick and I agree on many of the issues that face the citizens of Phoenix. We both ran on the message to repeal the food tax, make effective use of current revenue instead of raising taxes, and working to ensure the pension programs for city employees are equitable and sustainable. He is the best choice
to represent the residents of Phoenix District 1."

I am honored to have the support of Mr. Barker.  We will be working together to reach out to his supporters to let them know we can end the politics-as-usual atmosphere that exists at City Hall and replace it with new, vibrant leadership that provides real representation for the residents of Phoenix!
