Saturday on the Alexander & Symes Show: Child Custody

The show is archived here. This Saturday night from 6-7pm on the Alexander & Symes Show we will talk about child custody issues with David Usher of the Center for Marriage Policy and former Missouri State Representative Cynthia Davis, who has proposed shared parenting legislation.  We will spend the first 15-20 mins traversing the historical custody and fathers problem (which has been the ongoing insoluable problem for decades), and then point out that the way the gears work, father-absence (like poverty, child problems, and deficit spending) will not get better until we restore marriage as the social norm.

We will then talk about legislation proposed in Missouri:
· Our “Responsible Dissolution” legislation,
· Our “Family Intervention Order” (like a TRO but uses the heavy hand of government to get a substance abusing spouse to seek recovery).
· How this will help women too
· How this will benefit attorneys, judges, etc - where there will be a big surprise.
