German bankruptcies fall on strong economy
Berlin (dpa) - Bankruptcies in Germany fell sharply last year thanks to a strong economy, data released Tuesday showed.
The statistics office said the number of companies registering as insolvent dropped last year to 28,304, 6 per cent fewer than a year earlier.
The number of consumers registering as bankrupt also fell, declining by 5.5 per cent to 97,635. dpa amc jln Author: Andrew McCathie
