Calling all Volunteers - Help with Social Media!

Rachel Alexander, the campaign's social media expert, will be instructing volunteers how to leave positive feedback on Internet news articles and blogs.  Even if you are new to the blogging world this is a great way to give correct information about J.D.   It only requires Internet access and an opinion.  We would love to see you there.  This event is happening on:

Thursday, May 20
6:00pm - 7:00pm
3129 E Cactus Rd.
Phoenix, AZ 85032
(SW corner, behind Dunkin Donuts)

On Facebook, J.D.'s fans are growing. Facebook is a great way to get updates on the campaign status. Please take the time to invite your friends to become fans of J.D.!

"Netroots" (technological grassroots) is a great way to help spread J.D.'s message!

Volunteer News
large signs
The campaign headquarters was buzzing with volunteers who were shipping out large road signs and small yard signs as quickly as they came in.  Thanks to everyone who worked to haul the bulky signs and drive the heavy metal posts into the ground.

While one group was working on that, another worked the phones everyday reaching out to voters.  Great success is coming from the phones as we identify J.D. supporters and deliver them yard signs and bumper stickers.

We are in the final push of signature collection!
The remaining signatures are due to the Secretary of State by May 26th.  If you have a petition, we want to make sure those signatures get counted.  Please get your petitions to our offices by MONDAY, May 24th - even if it has just one signer.  Remember, before you drop off your petition, please fill out the circulator's information on the back side, this validates the petition.

Please send petitions to:
J.D. Hayworth 2010
Petition Coordinator
3129 E. Cactus Rd.
Phoenix, AZ 85032

Thanks again to the volunteers who are still dropping off petitions, answering the phones and sending out mail.

The Week in Review
Politicsontherocks
J.D. had a busy week traveling and doing interviews.

Last week he was grateful to speak to a standing-room-only crowd at the Legislative District 8 meeting in Scottsdale.

Alan Nathan, host of the radio talk show "Battle Line", interviewed J.D. about immigration, mid-term elections, the Tea Party Movement.

J.D. and Bill O'Reilly discussed the economic impact of SB 1070.

As a guest on "Geraldo at Large" J.D. talked about the relationship between border security and national security.

Then it was off to Yuma for a town hall meeting, after live shots on television, and a couple of live radio interviews the reporters followed him to a town hall at Kofa high school, attended by over 300 people. A reporter from GQ magazine followed him all week long.

He spoke to a Tea Party Rally in the City of Maricopa, did another live interview on the Mancow radio show, talked with Newsweek magazine and was the keynote speaker at the Sun City Vistoso Republican Club in Oro Valley.

J.D. also picked up the endorsement of nationally-recognized radio host Rick Amato during a live interview!
