Clean Elections looking for a new attorney

The Solicitor General’s Office has a full time position available in the Phoenix office. This attorney is responsible for representing the Citizens Clean Elections Commission. Responsibilities include providing legal advice to the Commission and representing the Commission in administrative hearings, litigation, and appeals. The attorney may also help with other work in the Solicitor Generals Office which includes, handling other election law and campaign finance matters, preparing and submitting pre-clearance submissions to the United States DOJ, drafting formal and informal legal opinions, reviewing proposed legislation, assisting with civil appeals and litigation, and providing independent representation legal advice to various boards and agencies.

Applicants must have a minimum of 4 years experience as an attorney. The position requires excellent research, writing and analytical skills, litigation experience, and an interest in election law. Admission to and good standing with the Arizona State Bar is required (include on resume the date(s) of admission in Arizona and any other states).
