Considering filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Arizona yourself?
Some people find themselves so broke they decide to file for bankruptcy without seeking out the help of a lawyer. As a bankruptcy lawyer, I see all too many sad cases where someone files for bankruptcy pro se and ends up with unfortunate results. Approximately 50% of bankruptcy petitions filed by pro se petitioners are thrown out! The bankruptcy laws are vast and complex, and any little mistake can get your bankruptcy thrown out of court or you could lose valuable property. It takes lawyers years to learn all the ins and outs of the system.
If your bankruptcy petition is thrown out due to a mistake, it will cost you several hundred dollars to get it reinstated. If the court finds out about an asset you failed to protect, that asset could be seized from you and split up among your creditors. Too many people who file their own bankruptcies end up losing a car, investment money, or worse.
Fortunately, the cost to file bankruptcy has come way down. I charge clients the low price of $995 to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy, plus a $299 court filing fee. My clients are able to come up with the money to pay me because they stop paying on their credit cards and other debts that will be discharged in the bankruptcy.
Alexander Bankruptcy Law Firm provides low cost Chapter 7 and 13 personal bankruptcies. Free consultation with a compassionate attorney who will handle your case personally. Call 24/7, available to meet with you around your schedule. Conveniently located in Central Phoenix along the Camelback corridor.

Anti-Americanism Disguised as Ethnic Studies in Tucson Schools
K-12 schools in Tucson are defiantly teaching Mexican-American studies despite a law that was passed this year banning the classes. The classes are not just about teaching Latino youth their history, the materials blatantly teach the students that the U.S. oppresses them and must be overthrown.

ALRA Radio discussing the Tucson ethnic studies controversy tonight with John Ward
Listen tonight to the Arizona Latino Republican Association on radio from 7-8pm as they interview John Ward about the Tucson grade schools defiantly teaching ethnic studies in violation of state law. Ward is a former history teach of Hispanic descent, who used to teach Mexican-American studies. He became so disturbed by what he observed in the ethnic studies classes that he is now speaking out against them.
The kind of Mexican-American studies being taught include teaching Latino youth that white people oppress them, that the U.S. government should be overthrown, and parts of the U.S. returned to Mexico. Read one of the poems being taught in this course, which an angry mother read aloud at a school board meeting.
ALRA member Rey Torres will also call in with a live update from Mexico.
Tune in locally to KKNT 960 AM or listen live online at KKNT960.com, which you can access by clicking here.
I will be writing an article on this shortly, stay tuned....
"I was told it would be a standard history class with a Mexican-American influence," said Ward, who no longer teaches. "But the whole inference and tone was anger. (They taught students) that the United States was and still is a fundamentally racist country in nature, whose interests are contrary to those of Mexican-American kids.
"Individuals in this (Ethnic Studies) department are vehemently anti-Western culture. They are vehemently opposed to the United States and its power. They are telling students they are victims and that they should be angry and rise up."

Planned Parenthood Stops Abortions at Seven Arizona Locations
Thanks to a comprehensive pro-life law a court recently upheld, the Planned Parenthood abortion business will be stopping abortion at seven locations throughout the state, the abortion agency announced today.
As LifeNews.com reported earlier this month, the Arizona Court of Appeals issued a decision upholding a pro-life law that protects the health and safety of women and their unborn children by giving them information they don’t normally receive.
The Arizona Court of Appeals heard oral arguments in June in Planned Parenthood Arizona v. Horne, a case the abortion business filed which challenges key aspects of the 2009 Abortion Consent Act. The law is a pro-life measure Governor Jan Brewer signed which tells women of the risks associated with and alternatives to abortion. Planned Parenthood sued the state soon after its signing and a Superior Court judge blocked the law from taking effect while the case moves forward.
The law will now go into effect and it makes it so Arizona will require a notarized parental signature before an abortion can be performed on a minor child, women will be provided with full and accurate information by a doctor in person at least 24 hours before an abortion, medical professionals cannot be forced to perform abortions if it contradicts their sincerely held religious or moral beliefs and non-doctors will not be permitted by law to perform surgical abortions.

Rick Perry's NAFTA Superhighway Problem
Move over Mitt Romney. Rick Perry has a bigger problem to defend from his tenure as governor. Remember the NAFTA Superhighway project? It was to consist of a two-mile wide $184 billion transit system of toll roads, rail lines and utilities from the Texas-Mexico border all the way up to the Minnesota-Canadian border, to make it easier to ship foreign goods from China and other countries into North America. It became so unpopular in Texas that the Texas portion of it, called the Trans-Texas Corridor, was renamed and mostly disbanded a couple of years ago. Perry was the only gubernatorial candidate in 2006 of four major candidates who supported it. Even the Democratic candidate opposed it.Perry’s campaign website lists the Trans-Texas Corridor as one of his accomplishments, “Rather than taking decades to expand these important corridors a little bit at a time, Governor Perry developed the Trans-Texas Corridor plan.”But is it something Perry really wants broadcast as an achievement? The Texas Republican Party’s 2010 platform includes a plank specifically opposing the Trans-Texas Corridor. Some of the opposition to the NAFTA Superhighway has been dismissed as conspiratorial, but loud objections also came from people concerned with border security and one million rural interests and farmers that stood to lose their land to eminent domain.Construction of the Trans-Texas Corridor began in 2007. Perry received substantial campaign contributions from the companies expected to benefit from the construction, Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transport and Zachry Construction Company. Cintra is a Spanish-owned company that would own the toll roads. This arrangement has been accused of being a hidden tax payable to a foreign corporation. Zachry was selected by the Texas Department of Transportation to construct the Trans-Texas Corridor. Perry initially opposed efforts by the Texas legislature to impede the construction, vetoing several bills. As opposition increased, the legislature was finally able to repeal the section of the Transportation code dealing with the Trans-Texas Corridor and pass an eminent domain bill protecting property. The TTC-35 project, a privately built multi-lane toll road, railway and utility line network that was to run parallel to Interstate Highway 35, was canceled. Perry finally backed down in the 2010 Republican primary for governor running against Kay Bailey Hutchinson, and opposed construction of the TTC-35.

Governor Pawlenty was also elected vice chair of the Republican Governors Association and played a leadership role in the victorious 2010 elections when Republicans took 11 governorships from the Democrats (Iowa, Kansas, Ohio, Oklahoma, Maine, Michigan, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Wyoming). The Modern Roman Colosseum: Euthanasia as a Spectator Sport
Last month, Nikolai Ivanisovich, a 62-year old Russian man with brain cancer, sold the rights to broadcast his euthanasia to BattleCam.com, a 24/7 reality TV website. The proceeds were reportedly enough to take care of his surviving family. In June, BBC2 broadcast a documentary showing the suicide of terminally ill Peter Smedley, including his pitiful cries for waterthat were refused by the doctor.
A disturbing trend has developed over the last few years of broadcasting the suicides of the weak and elderly in society for entertainment. Much of it is due to the glamorization of assisted suicide by a Swiss suicide clinic known as Dignitas. London’s Sky TV broadcast one of the first assisted suicides on TV at Dignitas in 2008 in the documentary “Right to Die?” Located in the beautiful mountains of Zurich, with Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony playing in the background at the patient’s request, the clinic provided a false picture of what assisted suicide is really about. In contrast, the BBC2 documentary “Choosing to Die” purposely left out the details of a secondterminally ill suicide performed at Dignitas, because the patient took 90 minutes to die, prompting the staff to instruct his mother not to hug him because it was prolonging his life. Euthanasia proponents selectively choose what to show in order to mislead the public.
Two assisted suicides recently broadcast on television were of people with Motor Neurone Disease. This disease includes amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), known in the U.S. as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Patients diagnosed with it gradually lose use of their muscles, motor functions and become weak. Life expectancy after diagnosis is two to five years, and death can be due to suffocation.

Vicente Fox thanked Governor Rick Perry for in-state tuition for illegal immigrants
More evidence of Rick Perry's less-than-conservative record as Governor of Texas. He is going to have a tough time making it out of the GOP primary if he runs for president.

Governor Rick Perry opposes Arizona's SB 1070 for Texas!
Unbelievable. He is about to run in the GOP primary for president, and comes out and declares he would not support Arizona's SB 1070 for Texas. Even a substantial majority of Americans support SB 1070 (60-70%). Way to lose the GOP primary before you're even in it, Perry!

Perry against Arizona law for Texas
Gary Scharrer Express-News
April 30, 2010, 10:15AM
Gov. Rick Perry said in a statement he released late Thursday that portions of Arizona's tough immigration law concern him and that “it would not be the right direction for Texas.”
The governor did not say whether he would veto similar legislation. When asked about the controversial Arizona law earlier in the week, Perry, through a spokesman, simply called immigration policy a federal responsibility.

Brad Zinn's impressions of famous great comedians coming to Prescott
Brad Zinn Brings "The Great Comedians" to Tim's Toyota Center
Prescott Valley NewsWritten by Lewis LaMaster
It's an evening of laughter and reminiscing, as Brad Zinn re-introduces his audiences to 'The Great Comedians'.
People attending Gospel Night at the Elks Theater last Saturday had a sneak preview of comedian Brad Zinn.Zinn, who will be performing at Tim's Toyouta Center on August 6, briefly introduced the audience to charactgers Johnny Carson and Red Skelton, filling the theater with laughter.
Zinn's show, 'The Great Comedians' will be a colorful treatment of the black and white era. From George Burns and Groucho Marx to Johnny Carson and Red Skelton, Zinn gives a warm treatment of seven great comedians from the age of talkies, radio and television sets with tubes. Zinn has been sharing these early Hollywood favorites for over five years, recognizing these as the ones that helped lead him to a career of making people laugh.
Any audience that can remember evenings gagthered around a black and white television will be greatly entertained by seeing and hearing impersonations of famous funny men with felt hats and cigars. As for the younger audience members - well, they'll learn why being "born in the age of Vaudeville" makes older generations smile.
