Paul Gosar: An Inconvenient "Conservative"

If Paul Gosar is such a conservative champion in Congress, then why would he support a candidate for Speaker of the U.S. House with scores of.....

Paul Gosar had a chance to support any other conservative for Speaker of the House when John Boehner retired at the end of 2015.

He chose Daniel Webster - someone who is anything but a conservative, as his aforementioned scores reflect.

Paul Gosar can come up with any excuse in the world for why he supported Daniel Webster over Paul Ryan; but the truth remains that when Gosar had the opportunity to stand for his so-called principles and convictions, he instead chose a familiar and convenient pal. No excuse could ever absolve Gosar from voting for an individual with legislative scorecards as low on the conservative rating scale as Webster's.

The excuses that Paul Gosar now gives for voting for Daniel Webster are simply falsehoods generated to mask his insecurities. When push comes to shove, Paul Gosar has shown that he isn't a true conservative.

Rather, he's an inconvenient "conservative."
